Like a lot of state signs..........they welcome you. Louisiana, and the McCon
family welcomed us in grand style! I've had the privilege of experiencing the
McCon family hospitality first hand. Now our reunion family is going to get
a taste of feeling at home without being at home.
Traffic through the construction area was heavy, but moving along just fine.
About 100 yards ahead of us we saw a large dust cloud. Traffic came to a
stop. The left lane started to slowly move and then we saw the cause of the
dust cloud.
We made it through the traffic and to the hotel.
Has anyone ever seen Delores without a smile?
Everyone was getting hungry. We loaded up into a few vehicles and
followed Glenna.
They are very big on "LSU" and the "Saints" around here, as the lobby
of the restaurant showed.
With our bellies full we headed back to the hotel.
Charles and Glenna had their hands full explaining the menu to us
"northerners" that talk funny! LOL
Slowly but surly, our crew keeps rolling in.
As the crew assembles, so do the gifts for the auction.
It was early in the day and everyone was getting a little hungry. So
we took up a collection and ordered pizza!
